“ Airport food is airport food, so I had very minimal expectations when dining here on my layover. However, I was pleasantly surprised with a juicy burger and delicious fries. The servers were nice and the atmosphere was clean. Of course, you are going to pay a little extra because you're stuck in an air port but that's to be expected! ”

“ My experience here was great. After spending over an hour waiting in the security line, this was the perfect place to take a load off and enjoy some surprisingly awesome food. I had the Walnut-Cranberry-Goat Cheese Salad which was great on its own and I added a Medium Steak that I inhaled. I would highly recommend the combo! I even told the waitress that she needed to tell the cook that made my steak that it was fantastic. Also, my waitress Tamika was very friendly and diligent to her tables. Almost time to board! “ Quick service, good food and about average prices for airport food and drinks. The NY Sports Grill is tucked away in Terminal 5 and looks pretty standard from a quick passerby perspective. You can scout out a quick seat at the bar or have the hostess seat you at the table. Either way, they operate on a scan-to-order system. (I mention this specifically after watching a woman rudely berate the restaurant servers for "terrible service" after which they patiently explained the situation to her. I also watched an older man get super frustrated later on for similar reasons. These servers are really taking a lot of flack for this order entry system. Do better and have some patience, folks!) Back to the restaurant experience itself, I ordered the goat cheese and candied walnut salad with chicken, and my husband ordered the Reuben with fries. Both were very good, particularly for airport food, where my expectations are low. Service on our order was very quick, and we appreciated that the app will let you track your order status. Neat feature that helps temper expectations! There is a large variety of beer on tap, along with other mixed drinks and options available. The app is easy to use, so ordering more from your seat is a breeze. Not a bad stop for a little airport restaurant! ”

“ Is my favorite food an airport salad?! Yes, yes it is. If you need a meal in JFK Terminal 5, don't hesitate to stop here. It's my second time here for the Candied Walnut & Goat Cheese salad. It is SO good. I wanted to make sure the first time wasn't a fluke but no, it's really that good. Just had one and hope to have another on my next trip through JFK. My daughter's had a burger and fries here and also loved it. I haven't seen it crowded and the service was friendly. Can't believe it's rated low, but give it a try. ”
